One of the most dramatic scenes from "Oliver Twist". What! Oliver Twist? you say? That's right, there's a lot more to this story than an orphan who wants more porridge. Pictured here is Nancy, a prostitute and thief, who risks her life to protect Oliver from Fagin and Sikes, who want to kill him. Her boyfriend Bill Sikes finds out and in his rage, kills her. This was the gruesome sight he beheld before he dealt her the death blow. This was exactly the picture Dickens described. It is a fascinating, suspenseful read and I highly reccomend it!

Oliver who?

TWIST, dammit! You know, the little orphan who eats all his porridge and then asks "please sir, may I have some more?". I'm sure it was referenced in the Simpsons at some point.

Bea-u-tifully done!

I always found the main story of Oliver to be a bit drab, but I dug the underground evil world Dickens created.

And then it was made into a musical.... and a movie with cats... the world of "entertainment" is kind of twisted, ain't it?
